Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his first trophy for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a torrid year, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and undergoing a meltdown at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in specific - led to him falling of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with former trainer Cervara.
Presently training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought competitive win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This represents his maiden trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface since that period of that year.
Success also means Medvedev has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one different events.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters at once, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my child her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six finals, including in that event in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and frequent emotional displays on the playing surface had prompted observers to doubt if his ability to compete at the top level was finished.
But the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to come to the net and play aggressively, backed up by an better service.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the initial set against the challenging opponent, winning four of the concluding five games to go ahead.
Both players exchanged breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his first ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to force a third set.
The opponent defended four early-game break points in a competitive third set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to close out the victory.
Suitably, the winner secured the title with a point at the net, with Moutet unable to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
